Sight Seeing and Discovery 21st – 28th September
Travelling by minibus, this package holiday shows you around some of Cornwall’s beauty spots. The week will take you on a journey discovering stunning beaches and coves, quaint harbours and villages and seeing some of the spectacular Cornish coastline.
Our host and walks leader, Arnold Steeds will guide you on daily trips which will include: -
Hayle, Godrevy, Hell’s Mouth, Marazion and Mousehole.
Golden stretches of sandy beaches, impressive coastlines, a historic castle and a picturesque fishing village are the characteristics you will get to explore along the way.
St Ives with a visit to the Tate Gallery.
Renowned for its fabulous beaches and stunning scenery, St Ives is the place to see. The winding streets are lined with numerous art galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants serving a variety of fresh, Cornish food to try. The seafront Tate Gallery sits above Porthmeor Beach and exhibits work by modern British artists.
St Just in Roseland and St Mawes.
Standing above the tidal creek of St Just Pool you will find a beautiful 13th century church surrounded by sub-tropical gardens and continuing along the Roseland peninsula is the old fishing port, St Mawes. This pretty little village looks out over the river Fal.
The Penwith Peninsula tour, covering Zennor, St Just, Cape Cornwall, Sennen, Lands End, The Minack and Lamorna.
From the small parish of Zennor where most people visit the church to see the ‘Mermaid Chair’ to the clifftop theatre overlook Porthcurno beach, the Penwith Penisula tour is the perfect drive around to see some of Cornwall’s iconic locations.
Cadgwith, Mullion Cove, Poldhu Cove and Porthleven.
The beach at Cadgwith is still very much the centre of this village with the harbour housing a small number of fishing boats. Mullion and Poldhu Cove are both delightful with lovely west facing beaches and finishing off the week, enjoy the vibrant harbour of Porthleven which has retained much of its original charm.
