Meet one of our guides....

Jenny Almond

I have always been interested in craft work most of my adult life. However, Patchwork and Quilting is my passion!

I have taught Patchwork and Quilting classes for the last eighteen years in Adult Education and many private guilds throughout the UK.  My aim is to reach out to Beginners and experienced Quilters alike and share with them my love and enthusiasm of such an interesting hobby.  I would encourage beginners in all the basic patchwork skills and all the safety aspects of their tools and equipment, enabling them to begin projects with confidence.

The more experienced students would be encouraged to further their horizons with more challenging projects.

I am always happy for any Quilters to just come and enjoy a relaxing week finishing off their own projects.

The Holiday:

Our patchwork & Quilting Holidays will appeal to both the seasoned and novice quilter.  From our Concert Hall, with views over Morecambe Bay, you can enjoy the comforts of this beautiful house while you receive expert tuition and guidance.

Join our expert tutor Jenny Almond, with a choice of projects for you to work on.  The structure of quilting workshops will be flexible, allowing you to work at your own pace and to achieve your own goals for the holiday.

Course tuition will run every day, unless otherwise stated from 9:30 to 12:30 each day, with scheduled lunch and morning coffee breaks. The afternoons are free for you to explore the local area or take the time to develop your own project.

What shall I bring? You will be required to bring your own general sewing kit (scissors, needles, pins, safety pins, cottons and rotary cutter) & sewing machine We are always on hand to offer advice if you are unsure and recommend that beginners students telephone prior.
